Hoosier Salon Art Deaccession Begins this Spring

March 22, 2019, Carmel, IN- Wickliff Auctioneers is pleased to announce that the Hoosier Salon has chosen the venerable Indiana art auction house to begin deaccession of collected artwork, with some examples having Salon Annual Exhibition provenance.

Louis W Bonsib, O/B, Floral Still Life

Beginning with the auction in April, 2019, Wickliff Auctioneers will begin to offer selected paintings at their monthly Gallery Auctions, with subsequent auctions to contain a selection of art, including oil paintings, watercolors, mixed media works and works on paper by historic and current Indiana artists.

Many fine paintings by historic Indiana artist Louis W Bonsib (IN, 1892-1979) will be offered, as Bonsib’s estate gifted a number of paintings to the Salon following his death. Also included will be several paintings from Indiana artist Max Howard (1909-1995), former art instructor at Howe High School from 1946 to 1971 and perennial Salon exhibitor.

Each month’s auction catalogue will offer photo previews of each item, along with links to online bidding sites. Catalogues are posted online approximately 8 days prior to any scheduled auction event.
